About Me
I am Elizabeth “Elle” Damian, a relational therapist who helps anxious, high-functioning adults untangle difficult relationships, shaky boundaries, and the kind of overthinking that never seems to turn off. I also work with clients who feel stuck in cycles of guilt, people-pleasing, or “being the strong one” for everyone else.
Many of my clients are navigating relationships that feel confusing, overwhelming, or unsafe. Some are in toxic or on-again, off-again dynamics with a partner or family member. Others are processing religious or cultural expectations, generational patterns, or intrusive thoughts they have never said out loud. In our work together you have a space where you can be fully honest, explore what is keeping you stuck, and begin making changes that feel right for you.
As a wife, mother, and clinician, I blend real-life experience with practical tools. My work is trauma-informed and relational, and I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and attachment-based approaches. That may look like learning new coping skills, setting and keeping boundaries, and also going deeper into the roots of why certain patterns are so hard to change.
I frequently support clients around taboo or shame-filled topics: intrusive thoughts (including OCD themes), relationship dysfunction, sexuality and desire, religious guilt, family pressure, and the overfunctioning that makes it hard to rest at night.
I am a culturally aware provider with experience working with clients from many backgrounds, including Hispanic and first-generation clients and members of the LGBTQ+ community. I offer a space that is open, safe, and respectful of your identity, without making it the focus of treatment unless that is what you want.
You do not have to filter yourself here. You do not have to manage the room. Just bring whatever you are carrying, and we will sort through it together at a pace that feels manageable.
Specialties and Approach
I help clients work through the messy, often overwhelming parts of life: spiraling thoughts, relationship chaos, burnout from always being the reliable one, and shame that feels hard to name. My specialties include:
Anxiety and high-functioning anxiety, overthinking, and difficulty relaxing
Boundaries and people-pleasing, including saying “no” without guilt
Difficult and toxic relationships, trauma bonds, and relationship burnout
OCD and intrusive thoughts, including taboo, sexual, or religious themes
Religious trauma, cultural and generational patterns, and identity confusion
ADHD, emotional dysregulation, and overfunctioning in work, school, or caregiving roles
I use an integrated, trauma-informed approach grounded in CBT, ACT, attachment-based work, and family-systems awareness. Therapy with me is collaborative and goal-oriented, while also leaving room to explore the deeper patterns that keep you repeating the same dynamics, even when you know they are hurting you.
If you are ready to stop managing everyone else’s emotions, stop fighting your own brain alone, and start building a life and relationships that actually feel like yours, I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can talk about your goals and how I can help.
